Mr. Rutledge is a Member at Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC in Louisville. His practice focuses on business organization law and disputes between business organization owners. He has served as an expert witness on matters including the operation of LLCs and fiduciary duties in corporations and LLCs. He is AV® PreeminentT Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, recognized by Chambers USA and is honored as a Kentucky Super Lawyer for his legal achievements. He was a member of the committee that drafted the Kentucky Limited Liability Company Act and the 1994 Limited Liability Partnership amendments to the Kentucky Partnership Act. He was the principal drafter of the Kentucky Revised Uniform Partnership Act (2006), the Kentucky Uniform Limited Partnership Act (2006), the Kentucky Business Entity Filing Act, the Kentucky Uniform Statutory Trust Act (2012), the Kentucky Uniform Limited Cooperation Association Act, the Kentucky Unincorporated Nonprofit Association Act and various statutory amendments adopted in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University. He is a Uniform law Commissioner and an elected member of the American law Institute. He is a member of the Kentucky state bar.
