Mr. Loyd is a Partner and Chair of the Tax & Employee Benefits Department of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, based in its Louisville, Kentucky office. Mark’s practice focuses on resolving clients’ state, local and federal tax issues through planning, audit management, administrative protest, negotiated settlement, administrative hearings, litigation, and appeals up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court. He represents multi-state and multinational companies to small businesses and their owners, striving to deliver value to every client. Prior to joining Bingham Greenebaum Doll, he managed the state and local tax function for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco. He is a certified public accountant and serves as chair of the Editorial Board of the Kentucky CPA Journal. He is a former chair of the tax section of both the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association. He has written extensively on tax matters for various tax publications and is a frequent speaker and panelist on tax matters. He is a member of the Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee state bars.
