Ms. Gandhi provides sophisticated state and local tax advice regarding multistate tax planning, audits, appeals and litigation, legislative and policy initiatives, across multiple industry platforms. Her areas of concentration include Michigan business taxes, sales and use taxes, motor fuel taxes, unemployment taxes, financial institution and captive insurance company taxes, unclaimed property and pursuit of investment incentives. She is also experienced in City of Detroit income tax matters. Honored in 2014 as “one of the “best in the profession” by State Tax Notes, she is licensed in Illinois and Michigan and has been repeatedly named in Best Lawyers in America, Michigan Super Lawyers, DBusiness Top Lawyers and The Top Women Attorneys in Michigan. Lynn is a Certified Public Accountant and a registered lobbyist. She is a former Chair of the Michigan Chamber Tax Policy Committee, and Ex-Officio of the Taxation Council of the State Bar of Michigan Taxation Section. She serves as the representative of the State Bar to the Business Tax Advisory Group to the state Treasurer, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Wayne State University where she teaches Multistate Taxation. Lynn is a member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Chamber, the Advisory Board of BBNA and State Tax Notes. Prior to re-joining private practice, she had 20 years of experience practicing law in a corporate environment with Fortune 500 companies.
