Felipe Ospina

Felipe Ospina is a partner at DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán (Colombia), where he leads the tax law practice and actively participates in mergers and acquisitions transactions.

His previous practice was focused on tax litigation and consultancy for companies in the agricultural, insurance, cement, energy, pensions, metallurgical and telecommunications sectors, among others. He has advised government entities on issues related to public finances, tax law and telecommunications regulations, and has significant experience in tax planning both of companies and families.

Before joining the firm, he was a senior associate at Philippi Prietocarrizosa & Uria (2012-2014) and Plazas Vega Abogados (2005-2012).

Mr. Ospina has lectured tax law courses at the Universidad del Rosario and the Colegio Superior de Administración (CESA) and is a member of the Colombian Tax Law Institute

Felipe has been named as leader lawyer in the fields of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property by Chambers and Partners in the 2013/2014 global editions. Has been recommended as leader lawyer by Latin Lawyer 2014 and by International Financial Law Review 2014 in the field of mergers and acquisitions.
