Eric has more than 26 years of public accounting experience and has worked in the governmental industry throughout his career. Eric not only possesses nationally recognized audit experience, but also preparer, educator and authorship experience. His experience includes acting as the Deputy Comptroller for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he ran the State’s audit for 11 years, was in charge of GASB implementation and was in charge of the OPEB implementation group (GASB 45) for the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers. Eric coordinated the actuarial valuations for the Commonwealth for both pensions and OPEB for the employees and teachers commissions.

Eric was a liaison to the Pension Reserves Investment Management Board and helped structure the OPEB trust fund for the Commonwealth. He has extensive experience in public plans, engaging with three Oklahoma defined benefit plans and working with the State of California Controllers’ Office on post-employment benefit and other GAAP implementation issues. He is also the author of the entire governmental library of reference information and audit programs for CCH Wolters Kluwer. A prime focus for Eric is assisting states, statewide plans and other large governments across the country implementing GASB standards and solving problems.
