Mr. Pierce is a Shareholder at Ausley McMullen in Tallahassee. His practice focuses on a broad range of business, tax, and probate law. He has extensive experience in Florida state tax matters and is former General Counsel of the Florida Department of Revenue. He regularly represents taxpayers before the Florida Department of Revenue in audits and appeals, as well as state court litigation. He previously served on the Tax Advisory Committee of the Florida House of Representatives. He serves as an adjunct professor at the Florida State University College of Law, co-teaching an Estate Planning Seminar course. Over the years, he has also taught courses on state taxation, corporate tax, and partnership tax at the law school. He holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, a Juris Doctor from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
